On June 14, 2025, Rep. Latta expressed deep sorrow over a tragic incident in Minnesota. He stated: “Marcia and I are heartbroken by the tragic news out of Minnesota. We strongly condemn the senseless act of political violence that occurred.” He extended his condolences to those affected by urging followers to keep “the Hartman and Hoffman families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
Later that day, Latta reflected on an important historical milestone for the United States. He noted: “On this day, our Founders proudly adopted the Stars and Stripes, a symbol that has come to define our nation.” The post encouraged Americans to celebrate “the rich history, enduring values, and hard-won freedoms” associated with the national flag.

Bob Latta was born in Bluffton, Ohio in 1956 and now resides in Bowling Green. He graduated from Bowling Green State University with a BA before earning a JD from the University of Toledo.
