The Ohio Controlling Board has approved a $373,331 Regional 166 Direct loan for Armstrong Steel Erectors, Inc. in Lorain County. The funding will be used to help finance the purchase and renovation of an 11,680 square foot industrial warehouse located in Elyria, Ohio.

Armstrong Steel Erectors, Inc., a general contracting company specializing in bridge construction and renovation, is expected to create three new full-time jobs and retain 20 existing positions at the site as a result of this project.

State Representative Gayle Manning (R-Avon) commented on the development. “This project will directly create and retain jobs in our district, resulting in economic growth,” said Manning.

The Ohio Controlling Board is responsible for overseeing requests related to changes in budgetary authority for state agencies.
