Rep. Bob Latta, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 5th district since 2007, has recently posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account highlighting achievements and ongoing initiatives relevant to his constituents.

On February 8, 2026, Latta extended well wishes to local athletes, stating, “All the best to the five Ohio natives competing on the world’s biggest stage today in Super Bowl LX. From our high school fields to the NFL, Ohio continues to produce world-class talent and leadership.”

The following day, February 9, he called attention to an opportunity for young artists in his district: “Calling all high school students in #OH5! My office is accepting submissions to the Congressional Art Competition. The deadline to submit is April 13, 2026. For more information on rules and how to apply, visit my website here: https://t.co/RK5lEHWLF0”

On February 10, Latta recognized Duane Stateler’s contributions to agriculture: “Great to see Duane Stateler, President of the @NPPC. A fourth-generation pork producer from McComb in #OH5, Duane is a proud advocate for the pork industry and the hardworking producers who help produce, process, sell, and enjoy pork around the world.”

Latta has represented Ohio’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Paul Gillmor in 2007. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of the Ohio legislature and as a Wood County Commissioner.
