Rep. Bob Latta, who represents Ohio’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of posts on his official social media account addressing both personal and public matters.

On March 16, 2026, Latta posted a message of support for Susie Wiles, stating, “Marcia and I are praying for @SusieWiles as she battles an early stage breast cancer diagnosis. We are keeping her and her family in our thoughts during this time.”

The following day, on March 17, he encouraged followers to participate in a discussion about energy infrastructure resilience: “Make sure to tune in as we examine how our energy infrastructure weathered Winter Storm Fern:”

Later that same day, Latta marked St. Patrick’s Day with a holiday greeting: “Happy St. Patrick’s Day. May the luck of the Irish be with you today and always!”

Latta has served in Congress since 2007 after succeeding Paul Gillmor and previously held positions in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2001 to 2007, the Ohio Senate from 1997 to 2000, and on the Wood County Board of Commissioners from 1991 to 1996. He was born in Bluffton, Ohio in 1956 and currently resides in Bowling Green. Latta holds a BA from Bowling Green State University (1978) and a JD from the University of Toledo (1981).
