Elyria home prices rise in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Elyria rose by $2,750 while total sales increased by 16.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 547 homes sold, with a median sale price of $91,500 - a 3.1% increase over the $88,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 470 homes sold in Elyria in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Elyria for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,844, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2019.
