Lorain home prices rise in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Lorain rose by $4,050 while total sales increased by 3.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were 283 homes sold, with a median sale price of $69,000 - a 6.2% increase over the $64,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 274 homes sold in Lorain in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Lorain for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,358, approximately 2% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2019.
