The first half of 2021: Lorain experienced a 14.7% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2021 in Lorain rose by $9,560 while total sales increased by 25.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2021, there were 682 homes sold, with a median sale price of $74,700 - a 14.7% increase over the $65,141 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 542 homes sold in Lorain in the first half of 2020.

The median sales tax in Lorain for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,358, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2021.
