2022 Oberlin Safety Town

City of Oberlin issued the following announcement on April 4.

The Oberlin Police Department will hold Safety Town sessions for children entering Kindergarten in Fall 2022.

Safety Town is a FREE PROGRAM, but registration is required.

Safety Town will be held at Oberlin Elementary School

2 Sessions are available to choose from, each with a morning & afternoon option:

SESSION 1:

June 20 – 24, 2022

10AM-12PM or 1PM-3PM

SESSION 2:

June 27 – July 1, 2022

10AM-12PM or 1PM-3PM

Oberlin Police Explorers

Are you between the ages of 14 & 20 and interested in a career in law enforcement? Become an Oberlin Police Explorer!

The Oberlin Police Department Explorer Post #2478 offers young adults hands-on experience for a career in law enforcement. OPD Explorers are trained in law enforcement practices by Patrol Officers and other OPD personnel, and have the opportunity to assist the Police Department with traffic and crowd control details for City events. Explorers also participate in local and state competitions with other Law Enforcement Exploring Posts from around Ohio.

To apply to be an Oberlin Police Explorer, please complete the Police Explorer Application and return it via email to Police@OberlinPD.com or to the Oberlin Police Department at 85 South Main Street.
