April: Home prices in Lorain increased

The median sale price of a home sold in April in Lorain rose by $25,500 while total sales decreased by 8.4 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April, there were 131 homes sold, with a median sale price of $98,000 - a 35.2 percent increase over the $72,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 143 homes sold in Lorain in April 2021.

The median sales tax in Lorain for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,358, approximately 1.4 percent of the median home sale price for April.
