Elyria median home prices rose by 19.3% in May

The median sale price of a home sold in May in Elyria rose by $23,500 while total sales increased by 35.4 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May, there were 107 homes sold, with a median sale price of $145,000 - a 19.3 percent increase over the $121,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 79 homes sold in Elyria in May 2021.

The median sales tax in Elyria for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $1,844, approximately 1.3 percent of the median home sale price for May.
