Rep. Bob Latta, who represents Ohio’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on September 15, 2025, highlighting key national observances and meetings with community groups.

In his first post at 18:36 UTC, Latta acknowledged the beginning of National Clean Energy Week, stating, "Today is the start of National Clean Energy Week! America’s energy future demands on an all-of-the-above strategy. Every source of energy, from natural gas to solar, must play a role in keeping our nation secure, competitive, and strong."

Later that day at 20:02 UTC, he expressed gratitude to several organizations for visiting his Washington office: "Many thanks to the @OHschoolboards, the Ohio VFW, and the @OhioFarmBureau's Young Agricultural Professionals for visiting my DC office to discuss priorities impacting students, veterans, and Ohio’s farming community."

At 21:30 UTC on the same day, Latta marked another national event by writing: "Today marks the start of #NationalTruckDriverAppreciation Week! Thank you to all the hardworking truck drivers across Ohio who keep things moving!"

Latta has served as a member of Congress since 2007 after succeeding Paul Gillmor. He previously held positions in both chambers of the Ohio legislature and served as a county commissioner. Born in Bluffton in 1956 and currently residing in Bowling Green, Latta holds degrees from Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo.
