The third quarter of 2021: Home prices in Vermilion increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Vermilion rose by $21,450 while total sales increased by 25%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 50 homes sold, with a median sale price of $148,950 - a 16.8% increase over the $127,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 40 homes sold in Vermilion in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Vermilion for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,398, approximately 1.6% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
