Bob Latta discusses grid innovation and clean energy priorities in recent posts

Rep. Bob Latta, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 5th district since 2007, highlighted his ongoing efforts in energy policy and national service through a series of posts on social media in September 2025.

On September 17, Latta wrote about his participation at the Grid Innovation Expo, stating, "Honored to join the Grid Innovation Expo today. As co-chair of the bipartisan Grid Innovation Caucus with @RepStricklandWA, I’m committed to strengthening America’s electric grid and advancing our work to power the nation. Innovation across the U.S. will fuel our energy future."

The following day, he acknowledged the anniversary of a major branch of the military: "For 78 years, the @usairforce has stood for service, sacrifice, and innovation. Wishing a Happy Birthday to the Airmen and Airwomen who keep our nation safe and strong." This post was made on September 18.

Later that evening, Latta addressed ongoing initiatives during Clean Energy Week: "Clean Energy Week is in full swing! ️

Latta has represented Ohio’s 5th District in Congress since replacing Paul Gillmor in 2007. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of Ohio's state legislature and as a Wood County Commissioner. Born in Bluffton in 1956 and currently residing in Bowling Green, Latta holds degrees from Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo.
