There were 905 students enrolled in Wellington Exempted Village schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.2% more than the previous year, according to the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.7% of them were boys, and 49.2% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 87.7% of the Wellington Exempted Village total enrollment.

Wellington Exempted Village roughly covers three schools within Lorain County and has a main office in Wellington.

Among the three schools in Wellington Exempted Village, McCormick Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of 377 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In 2022, Ohio saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is an improvement for the state and is lower than the national average of 1:16.

Despite the apparent improvement, this positive trend is overshadowed by a general decline in public school enrollments, which was accelerated by the pandemic. This decline, aligned with the steady number of teachers in the state over the last 10 years, has led to low student-to-teacher ratios.
