City of Avon issued the following announcement on Feb 21.
The City of Avon is seeking Part-Time Firefighters to respond to emergency calls, perform all firefighter functions necessary to assist with the control and suppression of fires, perform emergency medical treatment, and assist with other emergency services. The successful candidate will have completed secondary education (high school or GED) and must be certified by the State of Ohio as a full-time firefighter (240 hours or more) and as an EMT-Paramedic. A clean State of Ohio driver's license is required in order to be able to qualify for and remain insurable under the City’s vehicle insurance policy. Applications must be submitted at www.cityofavon.com/employment. Include a resume and documents substantiating qualifications and certifications. Applications will be accepted until all positions have been filled. EOE/AA.
