The Ohio Controlling Board has approved a funding grant of $300,000 for infrastructure development in North Ridgeville, located in Lorain County. The grant was announced by Speaker Pro Tempore Gayle Manning, who represents North Ridgeville.
The funds, managed by the Ohio Department of Development, will be allocated for the remediation and resurfacing of a section of Taylor Parkway. The improvements aim to enhance access to the Ruf Briquetting facility situated on Taylor Parkway and to boost traffic safety in the area.
Manning stated, "These improvements will preserve local infrastructure and spur economic growth by creating jobs and welcoming business to our community."
The infrastructure project is projected to create 19 full-time-equivalent jobs and to retain 11 existing positions.
The Roadwork Development Grants are part of a program that finances public roadwork enhancements to support business expansion or attraction.
The Ohio Controlling Board is responsible for overseeing modifications to the budgetary authority of state agencies.
