Rep. Bob Latta, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 5th district since 2007, posted several updates on his social media this week, ranging from condolences for a tragedy in Minneapolis to local community events and sports well-wishes.

On August 27, Latta wrote, "Marcia and I are praying for the victims, their families, and all affected by the tragedy in Minneapolis."

The following day, he highlighted a longstanding community tradition: "This week marks the 173rd Hancock County Fair. The fair always has so many great events, 4-H and FFA exhibits, food, and, of course, rides. The weather is great, so bring out the family for some fun. #HancockCountyFair https://t.co/co1saTOTAr" This post was made on August 28.

Later that evening on August 28, Latta turned his attention to local sports: "Wishing #BGSU Falcons and new Head Coach Eddie George a great game tonight and a winning season!
