Rep. Bob Latta highlights appropriations bill passage and local agriculture efforts

Rep. Bob Latta, who represents Ohio’s 5th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on his social media accounts highlighting recent legislative developments and local agricultural events.

On September 4, 2025, Latta wrote: "Today, the House passed the Energy and Water Appropriations bill which will strengthen national security, unleash American energy dominance, restore full funding for the water resources development program, and boost our economy. I supported this bill, which champions America’s".

The following day, he commented on Ohio's agriculture sector with a post stating: "Ohio's agriculture industry sustains jobs, families, and our food supply. Our agricultural producers in Mercer County in #OH5 keep Ohio strong and America fed! https://t.co/OnSIyWneue" (September 5, 2025).

Later that same day, Latta attended a local event and shared: "The Huron County Farm Bureau held its annual meeting last night at the Huron County fairgrounds where members were given a very thorough update of the organization’s activities. We all wish our agricultural producers a very good harvest. @FarmBureau https://t.co/doojrqGsFS" (September 5, 2025).

Latta has served as the representative for Ohio’s 5th District since 2007 after succeeding Paul Gillmor. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of both the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate as well as serving on the Wood County Board of Commissioners. Born in Bluffton in 1956 and currently residing in Bowling Green, Latta holds degrees from Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo.
