Rep. Bob Latta, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 5th district since 2007, shared updates on recent legislative and community engagements through a series of posts on his official Twitter account in mid-July 2025.
On July 15, Latta announced the passage of his bill in the House: "The House passed my bill, the Precision Agriculture Satellite Connectivity Act! The following day, July 16, he posted about meeting with members of The LIBRE Initiative: "Thank you, @LIBREinitiative, for stopping by my DC office to discuss your work to empower the Latino community. Libre is doing great work in Ohio engaging with our growing Latino population through education, entrepreneurship, and advocacy. https://t.co/HwWjQweWCX".
Later that same day, Latta acknowledged support from fellow legislator Steve Scalise regarding his bill's success: "Thank you to my friend and colleague, @SteveScalise, for the delicious cookie cake celebrating the House passage of my bill, the Precision Agriculture Satellite Connectivity Act! Latta has represented Ohio’s 5th District since winning a special election in 2007 after serving in both chambers of Ohio’s state legislature and as a Wood County Commissioner. Born in Bluffton and currently residing in Bowling Green, Latta holds degrees from Bowling Green State University (BA) and the University of Toledo (JD).
